🔎 Overview

📍 Starting from the village of Fiè allo Sciliar you will immediately be facing uphill, but the arrival at the small Fiè lakes is worth the effort and offers the first glimpses of the Sciliar.

🚠 After a descent through the woods and a short asphalt stretch, you and your bike will take the cable car, which quickly takes you up 800 metres to the Alpe di Siusi plateau. The view is immediately enchanting: a vibrant mix of  green, grey, brown and white, with snow traces despite the fact that it is already summer.

🚵‍♀️  As we begin our ascent, the Sciliar massif opens directly in front of us, and we can admire it in all of its majesty.

At every turn you will catch different views of the Catinaccio group, until you reach the well-deserved stop at the foot of the Sassopiatto, at the William hut. A break here is obligatory. 🌱

The panorama is even more spectacular: in addition to the Sciliar and the Catinaccio, there you can enjoy sights of the Sassopiatto and Sassolungo, the Sella group, the Odle group and the famous Seceda mountain.

🔚 The tour ends with a beautiful shady and fast descent through the woods that takes us back to the cable car.

👀 Our advices

We recommend a minimum tire size of 32mm as the ground can be loose in the wood parts

This tour features one steep passage, but once you’ll finish it, the view will be be worth the struggle

You will likely find snow until June, but the way will be clear enough for you to ride
